A condo sounds like our UK equivalent of what we call a "flat" or an "apartment". A flat is usually sold "leasehold" meaning that the lease will expire after say xxx number of years and have restrictions r that are similar to those you mentioned for condos. You have to pay an annual ground rent and annual service charges… A flat and an apartment mean the same to us, but is there a difference in a Condo and an Apartment in the States? I always wandered what a condo was, especially now that I am looking at the US market for property investment.
